Quran and Islamic Courses for Children

Structured Weekday Quran Classes

Najm Quran School offers weekday Quran classes for children, organised into two supportive cohorts. Cohort one runs from Monday to Wednesday and cohort two runs from Wednesday to Friday. This structured routine helps children develop their understanding of the Quran, build friendships and grow in confidence through consistent learning. Children who miss a class in one cohort can join a session in the other cohort to catch up, ensuring they stay on track without falling behind.

Flexible Weekend Quran and Islamic Learning

Weekend classes are available on either Saturday or Sunday, giving families flexibility while ensuring children enjoy engaging and interactive Islamic lessons. Each session is designed to inspire curiosity, reflection, and a love for learning in a fun and supportive environment.

Affordable and Family-Friendly Education

Najm Quran School is committed to making children’s Quran classes accessible for every family. Fees are structured to suit different needs, with options for annual payments, instalments and multi-child discounts. All lessons are delivered by friendly, fully DBS-checked teachers, ensuring every child learns in a safe and supportive environment. Teaching is delivered in a whole group classroom setting, where children learn together and benefit from shared discussion and interaction. While this approach supports confidence and community, it may not be suitable for those seeking one to one or highly individualised learning. Every child is welcomed into a nurturing community where learning the Quran and Islam is enjoyable and families feel supported every step of the way.

Quran Reading

A structured and supportive programme that helps every child develop confidence, consistency, and clarity in reading the Quran.

Quran Reading

Children are guided to achieve fluency and proficiency in Quran reading. Lessons focus on correct recitation (Tajweed) and understanding, delivered through group learning. The school provides online resources, with each lesson recorded for revision and to catch up if a class is missed. The school’s aim is strong reading skills, not to make every child a Hafiz.

Quran Memorisation

A carefully structured and supportive programme that helps every child memorise the Quran with confidence, consistency and focus.

Quran Memorisation

Children memorise Juz Amma and once completed, progress to Juz Tabarak. Selected parts of the Quran, including Surah Mulk, Ayatul Kursi, and Surah Kahf, are also memorised. Lessons are designed to support steady progress in a group environment, building confidence and long-term retention.

Islamic Studies

A structured programme helping every child learn Islamic studies, including daily dua and weekly Wednesday assemblies, in a supportive environment.

Islamic Studies

Islamic studies lessons cover Tawheed and Imaan, the life and stories of the Prophets, and practical guidance on how to pray and perform dua. Lessons are interactive and engaging, helping children connect what they learn to their everyday life.

We do things differently

A purposeful, cohort based programme helps every child move through the full curriculum with confidence and without gaps. Lessons are structured across the week, making it easy for children to catch up if they miss a session. For example, a child from cohort one who misses Monday can simply join the same lesson with cohort two on Thursday. Alongside this flexibility, a weekly (Wednesday) whole school session brings everyone together, creating a fun, welcoming environment while keeping learning focused and supportive.
