Welcome to Najm Quran School
We warmly welcome children from Year 1 to Year 6. In exceptional cases, we may also consider Reception or Year 7 pupils. Families can contact our Headteacher to discuss the best fit for their child. We are always happy to provide guidance and support.
How to Apply
Registration is simple and supportive. After submitting an application form, our friendly team will contact families within seven days. The decision of Najm Quran School is final and we guide every parent through the next steps to make the process smooth and clear.
Who Our Programmes Suit
Our classes are designed for children who can engage in cohort-based group learning. Children with Special Education Needs (SEN) or Autism may require specialist support we cannot provide. In such cases, we offer guidance to help families find the right school.
Selection Session
Parents and guardians join their child for a short, friendly session, usually online via Zoom.
We assess:
- Reading skills, including phonics
- A short passage from Najm’s Quran Reading Book/Qaidah
- Speaking, listening, and social confidence
The session is relaxed and supportive, helping us understand each child’s strengths and how they will thrive.
Documents You’ll Need
To complete registration, parents need to provide:
- The child’s birth certificate or valid passport
- The most recent school report
We review applications carefully to ensure every child will benefit from our learning environment.
Admission Criteria
Places are offered to children who:
- Are within the appropriate age group
- Have needs that can be met by the school (we cannot accommodate Special Education Needs (SEN), Autism, or specialist medical care needs such as Epipens)
- Live within a reasonable distance from the school
- Have siblings already attending Najm Quran School
This ensures every child can engage fully, enjoy a positive learning experience and feel confident and supported at all times.
Optional Catch-Up Notes / Cohort Flexibility
Children who miss a class in one cohort can join a session in the other cohort to catch up, ensuring they stay on track without falling behind.
